Bruce Vento Regional Trail and Memorial Grove Dedication
Tuesday, October 16, 2001, at 1:00 p.m.
The dedication will be held trail side near the intersection of Johnson Parkway and Lake Phalen east Shore Drive.
A grove of trees will be dedicated to the late Congressman Bruce Vento and a memorial plaque will be presented to the Vento family. The dedication will also include the official renaming of the Burlington Northern Regional Trail as the Bruce Vento Regional Trail. Several guest speakers will share their thoughts about Bruce Vento's lifetime of dedication to the community, the country and the environment. The public is invited to attend this special commemorative event.

The dedication will be held outside rain or shine. Parking is available in tennis court parking lots on Johnson Parkway south of Maryland and along nearby side streets.
